The Fosters Cup Final 2001

On Bank Holiday Monday 27th August 2001, Lintz entertained Annfield Plain in the final of the 2001 Fosters Cup.

Below are some photos taken during the day, the scorecard can be found here

Pictured: (Back Row, left to right): Chris Jones (12th Man), Anthony Ward, Michael Edmunds, Gary Christie, Gary Johnson, David Nevin, Michael Christie.

(Front Row, left to right): Paul Lumley, Stuart Clennell, Gordon Baker (Captain), Graeme Clennell, Stephen Smith

First ball of the game and Michael Christie (Lintz wicket keeper) got struck by a fierce delivery from his brother. Michael was sent to hospital to get some stitches, and later returned to finish off his wicket keeping stint. This is the injury Michael suffered, and we are all grateful he is not badly injured.

A scene from the game.

The Lintz future stars left to right: Tom Dixon, Luke Nevin, Jordon Clennell, and some kid from Annfield Plain. If anyone knows his name let me know and Ill put it on here. And David Dollan spectating on the far right.
